Best Start Pediatric Clinic

First- Jessica is freaking phenomenal. She is always up to date on information and eager to listen and provide professional advice. I cant tell you how many nurses/doctors who shamed me for formula feeding. She asked questions, understood my situation and was helpful in providing guidance and care accordingly. I appreciate her diligence, understanding and patience with me and my husband as first time parents. I couldn't ask for a better pediatrics provider Second- the staff is always quick and efficient. I always come into the office to find it clean and orderly (which is amazing to think about since we know kids are all over the place here). I feel so lucky that we landed at Best Start, and even luckier to have Mrs. Jess as our daughter’s pediatrician! This is my first child and she’s so (very much so) patient with all of my questions, anxieties, etc.. Plus my daughter always loves seeing her! Our family feels very taken care of. I’d recommend Best Start to anyone🩷

I am very pleased at the staff Dr. Averitt has at her office, especially Nurse Zach. He is always smiling, willing to help, and exudes so much love and compassion for his work. My children have been patients there since they were born and I always feel like my children are in good hands. Their empathy, compassion, concern, love, and overall dedication is the reason why I feel I would not choose to go anywhere else! They always text me or call me back no matter what question I have and are always there to help with whatever they can! Thank you so much Best Start Pediatrics for all that you do!

We have been seeing Jessica Newcomb at Best Start for over two years, starting when our second child was a newborn. Jessica has amazing bedside manner and we never feel rushed. Each of the rooms has a different theme with a huge mural which our boys love! We can’t always get through to the main office but they always return calls before the end of the day and even have a texting line for making appointments which is great for us! We have never not been able to get in same day for sick appointment too. I highly recommend.

Our children are our greatest assets. When you entrust the care of your child to someone, you expect the absolute best. Our child, a premie infant, has struggled to thrive her first few months of life with feeding and growing. When we brought up the concerns of her growth 3 different times, with 3 different providers (including the Dr.), our concerns were utterly and completely dismissed. Children are more than statistics and numbers on charts. When you have parents come to you who are desperate for answers, care enough to do something about it. Listen to them, as the parents almost always know their children better than you do. There were times where we even felt we had to remind them to do basic tasks (use a medical-grade scale, look in their ears, making proper referrals to specialists)
