I had an excellent experience with Dr. Rains and the entire team at Beacon Dermatology. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and professional, and the office itself is comfortable and clean. Dr. Rains took the time to really listen to my concerns and made me feel comfortable and cared for. I didn’t feel rushed, and it was clear that both he and his staff genuinely wanted to help me solve my skin issues. The level of attention, thoughtfulness, and expertise was exactly what I was hoping for. If you’re looking for a dermatologist who is knowledgeable, kind, and truly attentive, I can’t recommend Dr. Rains and Beacon Dermatology highly enough!

Dr. Rains and his entire team are truly fantastic. They genuinely care about their patients and have the very best bedside manner. My kids and I all go to their beautiful practice, and we always leave feeling so well taken care of. I can’t recommend them enough. His depth of knowledge is mind boggling and his demeanor is down to earth, open and inviting. This office is clearly here to provide options for your care and allows you to choose your own path. They are not pushy nor are they overpriced. They are simply interested in your best health and skincare.

Dr. Michael is such a great doctor and definitely earned the 500+ 5-star reviews he has here on Google. He is extremely personable and funny. He made me feel extremely comfortable during my appointment. He educated me on my options. And I really value his approach toward minimally invasive options. Most doctors I have worked with push expensive procedures. I really felt like Dr. Michael was more interested in my best interests instead of making as much as he could off my appointment.

Dr. Rains is a very personable individual, and did a very thorough job in looking me over. Some of the dermatologists I have seen in the past do not look at the entire body. I don't know about you, but I don't want cancer anywhere, and I do appreciate a dermatologist who will look at everything. He was very good about explaining to me what he found. I will happily go back to him, despite the fact that I have to drive an hour through Asheville traffic to get to his office.
