Beach Kids Pediatrics

We did not have a good experience. Told that they were all on vacation. Called to make an appointment on Wednesday and told that the office did not want to pay for locum coverage on Thursday and Friday but physician would be back Monday. We waited and called Monday to make an appointment but were told Doctor was still on vacation and there was no Doctor covering the office. Told if we are so worried to go to the ER which we eventually did and able to get the appropriate medication but received a thousand dollar bill in the process. Never received a phone call apologizing for the situation despite front office staff saying Doctor was very aware of the situation and our dissatisfaction. We promptly switched to a new pediatrician to ensure reliability in care for our child.

The young woman at the front desk seemed to lack strong customer service and communication skills. When I asked about appointment scheduling, her responses were vague and not very helpful. Additionally, during the call, she began laughing with another employee, which came across as unprofessional.

We’ve been coming here since my daughter was born, and I can’t imagine ever going to a different practice. I feel as if they actually know her and not just her medical file. Tammy is always so nice and immediately greets you by name when you walk through the door. It’s as if you’re coming in to see an old friend every time. Dr. Brian McDonald is the best pediatrician. He’s very friendly and never makes you feel rushed. He will spend as much time as you need during your appointment and is willing to answer any questions. He’s always on call and will always answer the phone (something my husband found out when he called in the middle of the night on a weekend expecting to leave a VM), and regardless of time he still maintains a friendly and helpful disposition, and will go above and beyond

Absolutely love this place and their staff. It is so welcoming, and they listen to your concerns here. Working in the medical field this is a place to cherish, as this type of care and environment is often rare to come across anymore. I don't plan on changing care anytime soon! As for the negative reviews I highly suggest you take a chance on them and see for yourself how caring and supportive this office is. Coming from a medical background I personally take precautions where I bring my child for care and I fully trust this office and team.

Called the office to ask a general question about my child who is a patient (if we can get a referral) and she first misunderstood what I was asking so I asked another way and she YELLED into the phone (had to hold it away from my hear about 12 inches) This is the second time I have called and gotten rude staff. It’s a shame because it really sets the tone and as a health care professional myself, it is unacceptable to speak to anyone that way. We will be looking for a new provider
