Beach Eye Care: Lipton Mark A OD

The owner reached out to me to question my feelings after visit and has now entered a statement refuting my experience. He states my review was "misleading and inaccurate ". EXCUSE ME? I think I was being polite; but the " scheduling" individual was out right rude. She PUSHED( as did the woman filling my new 'free' glasses on my 1st visit ) for the preceedure not covered by my insurance. I said I couldn't afford it and was made to feel very uncomfortable. At that point she tried to mislead me and thereby belittled me. I did some research on what she was telling me and one said she out right lied to me! Way not cool!! I've been in a lot of doctor facilities and this was pathetic and outright shaming to sell product!

This office made my elderly mother wait over an hour in uncomfortable chairs - what is the point of bothering to make an appointment?! And then they quoted her inflated prices for new glasses (over $500 for lenses for her current frames or over $400 for lenses in their frames) - without less expensive alternatives being offered. Horrible experience.

Great experience. My wife and I were treated great. Staff is very professional and friendly. Highly recommend. We used to be patients of Dr. Chen. Absolutely terrible.
