Baylor Scott & White Urgent Care+ Hillcrest (Crosslake)

I know it’s not easy to work at an urgent care, so I don’t mean to be harsh, but I did not have a good experience at this urgent care. I brought my 3 month old daughter in for what I believe to be croup. She is getting over a cold and woke up in the middle of the night with a terrible cough. I recorded it on my phone and called the ER nurse. They recommended i go to urgent care immediately. By morning it had subsided a little bit but I still brought her, in case it might get worse We walk in and I can immediately hear the NP complaining and saying he was going to get off at noon instead of there normal closing time. They bring me back to the room and ignore all of my concerns about her cough and start testing her for COVID/flu/RSV. I thought this was perhaps protocol but still they only se

Front desk receptionist was very friendly and efficient getting me checked in. The nurse was very sweet and got my vitals and in a room quickly. The doctor ( can’t remember her name, sorry!) is very nice and actually listens, which not doctors do unfortunately. She has seen both of my kids several times during this sick season and we love it when she’s the doctor on staff when we go to this urgent care. It’s always a pleasant experience here, thank you!

Worst experience ever. And I’m a nurse. PA Shauna was rough, hurried, rude and careless. Definitely doesn’t possess the BSW Hillcrest values that I’ve been taught. She shoved me up off the exam table saying she was a med surg nurse and didn’t want to hurt her back. Then she listened to my chest in rapid fashion. Didn’t ask me any questions regarding if my cough was productive or what the wheezing was like. Then she rattled off instructions regarding viral illness and treatment like she was an auctioneer. Being a 30 year med surg bsn I was able to follow her but a non medical person would’ve been bewildered. I told her I didn’t agree with her diagnosis and left. By the way it was my birthday and I didn’t appreciate being treated that way. I will never go back there, ever. I would give zero

The staff was very nice, and the facility was clean and well-kept. Our nurse, Teague Family Nurse Practitioner (Felicia), was wonderful, she checked my daughter thoroughly and took her time to explain all my questions and concerns. I really appreciated the care and attention she provided.

The staff was great at this facility. I really liked the nurse practitioner. She was professional, friendly and had a great bed side manner. Would definitely go back.
