Very Deceiving Facility! If you can take care of yourself you may make it out alive from this place. If you can’t, you might as well start planning a funeral. My father was neglected and mistreated here. He came here for short term rehab after a stroke, lost his left side, had two brain surgeries. He needed full assistance on mostly everything. I heard the staff complaining in the hallway about cutting up his food. Some days I’d walk in and his food was out of reach and not cut up, or on his left side. He was losing way too much weight so my family and I had to take on 3 different shifts EVERY DAY to make sure he ate because the staff wasn’t caring or doing anything about it. The call button times averaged about a half hour minimum to about an hour and a half for anyone to address his need

Zero stars! please consider my review before sending your family member to Bayshore…my father was here to heal from a stroke and heart attack. He has left side neglect, which means his whole left side is unable to move. He needs help eating, drinking, bathing, unwrapping things, literally everything he needs assistance. Bayshore staff WAS STARVING my dad. We asked/told multiple staff members he needs his food on his right side, he needs it unwrapped, and he needs his bed upright so he could actually eat. Almost every single day one of my sisters and I would walk into his room… his food would be completely wrapped up in Saran Wrap, milk not open, straws not unwrapped, and his bed would be completely flat! We had to cook him 3 meals a day and bring it into Bayshore so he could eat properly.

They are taking really good care of my family member. My family member loves the food there. I trust them, and that's not easy for me to do. They appreciate our involvement and I love that I can visit 24/7 if ever needed. I know said family member is in safe hands. (:

Environment is very depressing and old looking, some staff seemed ok but their conversations floated through the halls very clearly. I went there today 2/15/23 to see my mother who was asleep when I arrived with her door closed, she had as of today been there 6 days with staff apparently trying to work with her twice but she was weak so they just basically put her in bed until they felt they could try again. Mind you my mother talks well and they felt she needed speech therapy cause she's not very loud, all this while she can't walk and no exercises at all for that at all. We ended up signing her out and taking her home to have actual therapy done and staff refused to help my sister take her out and told her she could handle it herself until one nurse had enough dignity to help, so who eve

I feel like many others.. I f I could give this place ZERO stars I would. The staff seem sweet... yet I feel they lie. My mother was sent there from MidMichigan Hospital. She has a history of filling up with fluid, due to heart failure, sepsis shock... She was admitted this past Wednesday. I had asked when she would be able to see a doctor. I was told "Ohh with in the first 24hrs." Awesome, no problem. Thursday night rolls around, she still has not seen a doctor. Friday morning I call, a nurse said " yes she did look swollen, and should see a doctor with in the first 48hrs of being admitted here." Meanwhile, my mother is in a huge amount of pain, her legs are visible swollen, she has sat in a wheelchair ALL DAY due to this facility not having chairs that recline to elevate as her legs are
