A Truly Exceptional Experience My 17-day stay at Baton Rouge Speciality Hospital has been nothing short of outstanding. From the moment I arrived, every staff member — nurses, therapists, technicians/CNAs and administrative personnel — showed genuine compassion, patience, and professionalism. Their commitment to individualized care made me feel seen, heard, and respected every single day of my stay. The facility itself is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. The environment is calm and uplifting, which truly supports recovery and long-term healing. Every interaction, whether during my (Wound Care) treatments, physical therapy, mealtime, or while cleaning my room reflected the team’s sincere dedication to helping patients feel both safe and cared for. Baton Rouge Specialty has taken great care of my dad for the 3 weeks he was there. Judy and Mitzy with intake got him in quickly and got him out of the horrible place he was at. My dad has been so happy ever since he came. He said I couldn’t have chose a better place for him. When I came to tour the facility, everyone was so welcoming, Carla the Nutritionist, PT (Beth), Lori (over all the nurses), Janice the caseworker has been amazing and so nice! I couldn’t have chose a better place. Can’t forget Dakelshia (CNA) she’s a very hard worker and was there for my dad whenever he needed help or needing cleaning up! Will definitely recommend Baton Rouge Specialty to anyone needing a rehab facility.

The staff and everyone else who helped take care of me is nothing short then wonderful. I can't help but think how blessed I am. Everyone here has worked tirelessly to make me as comfortable as any one can be. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Keep up the great work. My father was hospitalized there for 3 weeks. The service was beyond all expectations I could have hoped for. The rooms remained very clean for the whole duration of our stay. The ENTIRE team was attentive to his care: the nurses, aids, physical therapist , occupational therapist , nutritional staff (dietician and the cafeteria staff!), and social worker. The aids checked on my father every two hours, and offered to changed him each time, even in the middle of the night. PT/OT always kept me updated one very therapy session my father attended. Nursing staff were kind and compassionate to our whole family. The HMG physicians/NPs were superb, through, empathic , and thoughtful. My name is Micky Sharp /Milton Sharp/ I have to say at first I was nervous being from Covington,LA. Not knowing Baton Rouge but soon as I got here which was 7pm at night they showed me around and explained everything to me and brought. To my private room which everybody gets one which is nice and nice to have make sure if I was hungry thirsty or needed anything bed was nice and has a control which does anything you want you have a main call button and a real remote control for your TV which has a nice section of Chan els your private bathroom and shower and even a little front room with couch to entertain your friends a d family in comfort they have the greatest staff with one of a kind nurses that is so nice and very respectful of you and your feelings and needs including the therapy
