Barton Urgent Care

Barton health billing partices are literally for scam artists, I asked for all the costs multiple times, they told me the cost of the appointment was going to be $285 and I asked about any additional costs at every point along the appointment and nothing else was mentioned. I received a bill for over $1400 a few months later for a lab (which I also asked for the cost of and was not told about). I worked with every person up the chain of command and my insurance and nobody was of any help. Barton and the insurance industry are lining each other's pockets with their anti-patient practices. How they are not in violation of the no-surprise act by not disclosing costs is beyond me. The doctors and staff are really nice but you will get absolutely scammed by their billing practices. In the summer of 2025, I visited beautiful Lake Tahoe again. Unfortunately, I caught my finger in the car door. The hotel sent me to Barton Urgent Care. I was treated immediately and the team took a lot of time for me. Despite my poor English skills, everything went well. Thank you to the team.

Fantastic! And so quick! I was called into my exam while I was still filling out the forms! Wonderful staff!!

Was skiing up at Heavenly Friday evening and I had an eye stye and my wife a sore knee. We arrived at 4:30 pm and gracious staff checked us in and we saw everyone (doctor/nurse practioner/EMT) each competent and clear and we were out within an hour with some mitigation. Of course home follow up is needed but a perfect interim stabilization visit. Highly recommend.

My son broke his leg skiing, and the staff at Barton urgent care were very kind and helpful. Dr. Ouimet went above and beyond to help us coordinate everything, as we're from out of town. The final bill was very reasonable, and while I wish we didn't have to go there, they made it a super smooth experience. We were taken care of quickly, and their online radiology access meant the orthopedic surgeon back home could see the real x-rays and save us the cost of another set of x-rays too.
