Barnes Bariatric Surgical Services - Fort Worth

Guy almost killed me! In 2017 I hd my surgery. I developed blood clots. Dr Barns had the soon tech perform an ultrasound. He also went with what the tech (instead of going by a radiologist to look at my sonogram) seen on my ultrasound and miss diagnosed me at the time. A day or two later I was in the hospital for three blood clots. One in each leg and another in my lung. A year later he said I need my gallbladder removed after he diagnosed me. It’s turns out after my surgery he said I had polyps in my gallbladder, I asked if he had it sent to be tested and he declined. I could have sued this guy and won, but my ignorance was taken advantage by him and his staff.

I had a gastric bypass in 2016. My first follow up after procedure he started yelling and screaming at me that I was not following his orders because I was drinking my water out of a 40 oz cup and filling up as needed. Needless to say I never went back to him. Which brings me to 2023. I have been having issues keeping food down since last august. I have since lost over 100lbs, due to the gastric bypass closing up. I could have died. I have had a stint put in and will need at least 3 more procedures done. My advice, he has horrible bedside manner and don’t get the surgery, you never know the outcome.

Dr. Barnes and his staff have been with me 100% of the way. Ups and downs, they are always available and friendly. Dr. Barnes is very professional. He doesn't dance around anything, he's straight forward. He is there to make sure you are ready. He has his expectations and will make you stay on track. He has been a literal life saver. The surgery went well with no complications. 4 months post op and I am down 70 lbs. He also takes a variety of insurance. I was able to use my tricare which is hard to find providers for.

I had thought about having weight loss surgery for quite some time and was scared, that was until I met with Dr, Barnes. Dr Barnes and is entire staff have made this important journey I am going through so easy for me. They have made me so comfortable in every way possible. They have answered all my questions and they are very thorough in their answers. I'd recommend Dr Barnes and his staff to anyone who is looking into Bariatric surgery. I give them 2 thumbs up, 5 stars and and A+.

Dr Gregory Barnes and his entire staff are top notch and make you feel very welcome. They are always willing to take that extra step or do one more thing to make you at ease. Dr Barnes has a wonderful bedside manner and is very considerate of your emotions and how important the decision to undergo bariatric surgery can be. I would highly recommend anyone looking to lose that excessive weight and get their life back to go see them, at least for a free consult or sleep apnea test.
