Barbara Townsend, LMT

Amazing massage therapist. I was treated by Barbara many years ago when she was filling in for someone at a medical massage clinic that I was going to for hip/lower back issues. Barbara was assigned to me randomly but she was the first person in all my years of massage that had the education, the skill and the intuition to fix the issue that had been causing pain for so long. I've been seeing Barbara since then - each visit is personally tailored to fit my specific needs. Sometimes we talk a lot and sometimes I’m quiet during my time with her, but I usually walk out feeling much better and also have more knowledge about my body than when I walked in. She is very patient and explains why things are happening and suggests stretches or exercises to do at home to continue the healing process.

Barbara gave me the best massage I've ever had. She has a deft touch and knows the body well. I came in due to a cancellation with back muscle pain and she literally worked it out of my body. Book now! She's got a reputation. Highly, highly recommend her!

Once again, Barbara Townsend exceeds my expectations! I have been using Barbara as my massage therapist for several years and each and every massage is different, special and therapeutic. Unlike most therapists I have used in the past, she doesn't just "go through the motions" and do a standard, cookie cutter massage. Each massage is tailored to how your body is feeling that day. Barbara told me during my massage today that I had been having headaches.....I hadn't even told her! Her intuitive touch and positive, healing energy make her massages more than just massages....they are healing experiences! I wish there were 10 stars because Barbara Townsend would earn every one!

Barbara is amazing. She truly listens to you and she knows exactly how to get rid of every ache and pain you have. All gone! She has a chart to show you where your muscles need work, and is extremely knowledgeable. Even if you think you don't need a massage, she manages to find places that are tight and makes all the difference. Everyone should go to Barbara at least once, but monthly is so much more effective.

I have been a client for about 2 1/2 years. Barbara is extremely knowledgeable and is a great listener. She is compassionate and attentive to what your goals/needs are out of every therapeutic session. She helped me regain maximum use of my shoulder and arm after a dislocation and surgery. My surgeon was thrilled and I am too!
