I have seen PA Barbara Morrison for the past couple of years. While she does have a pleasant bedside manner, I’ve found the overall care experience very frustrating. She seems extremely overwhelmed with patients and is not able to give them the attention they truly need. When I was instructed by the hospital to follow up with her after an emergency visit, it was impossible to get an appointment. I was repeatedly told to see another provider instead, which defeats the purpose of continuity of care. I also learned that the supervising physician is not aware of her patients’ situations unless a complaint is made, which is concerning. Barbara Morrison has a great bedside manner,. She took time with me, she made me feel comfortable. On the other hand the Medical Assistant @ the front desk that takes care of her phone calls and appointments was very rude and unprofessional!! I Work In a primary care office as well, and if I treated a patient the way she treated me for the 2nd encounter we met. I would no longer be employed. She argued with me instead of helping me, or making me feel welcomed as a new patient @ the practice. When I asked her was I supposed to have labs done, she said to me "I wasn't in the room with you! I don't know!! I would have told my patient, "Have a seat, let me check on that." She did multiple things to make me feel unwelcome. I will not be returning or referring anyone to the practice. Dr Morrison is phenomenal! She takes the time to truly get to know her patients. Dr Morrison is professional, personable, knowledgeable, efficient and truly shows she sincerely cares about your well being. Her staff is amazing the triage nurse (she makes you feel welcome, taking your vitals and just keeping you calm)and the front desk staff ( greet you with those smiles). They truly make you feel like you are family and not just a number .. ♥️

I took my daughter in law here for care. She had recently undergone some traumatic events in her life including strokes and heart surgery all at the tender age of 35. My daughter in law is new to Norfolk and just released from care in UVA. I was ASTOUNDED by the WONDERFUL care and COMPASSION Barbra gave her. I'm quite familiar with the medical field and it's sadly not very often you run across a Medical Professional with this much care, compassion, attentiveness, and willingness to help. She ensured my girl got the quick medical attention needed. She took the time to listen and make sure all needs were met. You don't feel like just another number here. She's the real deal!!! THANK YOU BARBARA MORRISON!!!!!!

What I remember .. Dr Morrison is awesome and caring ... I left because they said she no longer take my insurance.. but once I found out that wasn't true .. I wanted to come back .. but that receptionist was very rude and seemed like she didn't want me to come back .. not pleasant at all.... But once again awesome Doctor .. It matters all around even when you make a call and talk to the receptionist.. that's why I couldn't give 5 stars...
