Balboa Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

My mom was well cared for and loved at Balboa. I always knew she was safe. They communicated very well with me regarding all aspects of her care. The Social Services department is so helpful and clear with their communication. The PT, OT, ST dept is amazing. The nurses and CNAs are the best. The food is consistently very good...I know, I ate it myself. The cleaning crew and maintenance crew are always working to keep the facility in top shape. The wonderful laundry crew keeps everyone in clean clothes and bedding. They have parties and events for the residents. Bingo, arts and crafts, movies, books, and my favorite...manicure Mondays. Mom was there for over 3 months. She was unable to walk when she was admitted. Now she is walking around the house again. I am so happy we chose Balboa for h

I think this facility is better than most I have seen. The security is great. Everyone has to check-in and check-in and out but it is easy. The staff seems very attentive and the facility is clean. Parking in the neighborhood is difficult but that is not the fault of the facility. There are various activities if the patients want to participate. I am just a visitor so I cannot comment on cost

I am very impressed with the level of care my mom is receiving at this rehabilitation center. From her daily care and meals to her overall routine, everything has been handled with professionalism and compassion. The PT and OT teams are truly on it and very attentive to her progress. I also want to highlight the case manager, Brenda, who was extremely helpful and provided me with valuable resources to help my mom continue to advance in her care. I highly recommend the Balboa facility and am grateful for the care and support my mom has received.

I was a patient at Balboa Nursing Facility for over a month and have absolutely NO complaints. Housekeeping is excellent. The laundry care is awesome. The cafeteria did the best they could to accommodate everyone, and I enjoyed the meals. The care I received there was of the highest level and the staff always made sure I was comfortable and that my needs were met. Always cheerful, and often, I was comforted by the sound of laughter. I'm lousy with names, but everyone on the 4th and 3rd floor were great. The social service folks were attentive and caring. Physical therapy knew what they were doing and got me back on stable feet. The staff & care provided to my 92-year old mother-in-law after hospitalization from a fall & fractures was wonderful. PT & OT staff were knowledgeable, patient & kind. Nutritionist tried to accommodate her likes & dislikes. Social workers were always around to answer questions. Nurses & CNA’s did their best to meet her needs in a timely manner!
