Autumn Lake Healthcare at Glen Burnie

I would not recommend this nursing home/rehab facility to anyone who loves their family member. My mother stayed here, and the level of care she received was beyond unacceptable. Residents are not properly cared for. My mother was left sitting in her own urine for extended periods of time without assistance. On more than one occasion, residents who fell were left on the floor for hours before anyone responded. That is not just neglect — it is dangerous and inhumane. There was also a serious lack of supervision. Male residents were allowed to sexually harass female residents without intervention. Out of all the rehab I have been in this seems to be the best one yet very clean. The staffer was great very pleasant overall very satisfied. I would recommend this rehab to my friends and family. They took very good care of my mom. God bless.

We were told in February that my husband may never walk again. Thanks to the amazing team at Autumn Lake he was walking well enough to attend the Navy football game yesterday. Never would have happened without them. Special shout out to Christina who may be the best administrator I’ve ever worked with. Bridget is an exceptional woman who cared for my husband like we were family. The love and support the staff gave was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. The facility is a little old but it’s kept clean. The food could use some work.

My best friend was in hospice care at this location. The place smells awful, unclean, and they do not take care of their patients very well. Cemo wasn't working for my friend at the hospital, so he was placed at Autumn Lake. On day one that my bestfriend was placed here till a weeks later when he passed away. He was in the same clothes for over a week, not one person had given him a sponge bath, or changed his bedding. The day he passed, I'd showed up and he was sitting in soiled sheets. I'd taken off the soiled sheets and asked for new bedding which I never saw before I left. If you can avoid this place, please do so. Your loved one deserves better.

My wife's second day here. The staff are very good so far. Her room area is small but comfortable. One problem is the toilet will not flush completely I flushed it six times and the waste still would not go down. A real plumbing issue and maybe health issue. The therapist are great I hope at the end of her stay I can give a five star rating. Short staff but same as other places.
