Autumn Lake Healthcare at Baltimore Washington

My initial phone interaction with Shannon during the admissions process, to walking in for my first sight visit , to meeting Charnise and Tracy when admitting my loved one - I was in awe of a facility and the staff. Ernesto in Physical Therapy, the Unit Nurse Manager and Ola, the PA. I felt a sense of comfort that I have never felt before in a rehab or nursing facility. I've always had a phobia against these places and was always on guard. For the first time I was able to let go of my guard and allow the process to just happen. The facility is very clean, I'm very sensitive to smells and did not have an issue. I just want to thank everybody from Shannon, Tara and McKenna and everyone else including the front desk people, thank you from the bottom of my heart and I will always remember this

This place should not be in business. I am deeply saddened for anyone at this facility who doesn't have family to regularly advocate for them. I am a nurse of 25 years and can not believe what i witnessed with my own eyes with the care at this facility. My grandmother received terrible care in this place. No one to help feed her, left in wet diapers and clothing long periods of time. Rude staff. People being rough with her despite having a fracture in her back. My complaints are going way up the chain and i am sure that nothing will come of them but I wanted to review so that people steer clear. When you do complain, they bring in other staff to be confrontational. Absolutely disgusting. We got my grandmother transferred home with home care because i could not entrust her to this place. S

My Mother has stage 4 cervical cancer and is in extreme pain. She unfortunately is in there for rehabilitation to help strengthen her legs. Shes has called me in tears every day since she was admitted. Theyre not giving her, her medicine like they're supposed to. Shes being left in her own waste for hours on time, and then when someone finally helps her they tell her "you should be thanking me". My mother is not a mean person or a complainer but this place is terrible. We are working to get her moved to a different rehab.

I was at Autumn Lake for physical therapy for about 1 1//2 days, every one was pleasant, and did what they could, not the shift they were not so nice. Most of the time the food was cold but it was good even if it were cold, you weren't offended any coffee or tea you have to ask if there's any on the food cart from dietary. They don't offer any type of snack in between meals.

The staff is friendly and professional. My sister Joyce looks like she is well cared for. The building was clean and no issues.
