Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center

So far I’ve been waiting for 4 1/2 hours IN WAITING AREA!!! Mind you all my X-RAYS EKG & BLOOD result has been in my MYCHART SINCE 422pm!!! Now 830pm!! It’s RIDICULOUS! I was crying in pain when I got here! I’m SO FAR from comfortable! The LEAST they could’ve did was move at a speedy manner! The hospital has a score 2.4!! I NOW KNOW WHY!! After TODAY I WONT WILLINGLY RETURN TO THIS EMERGENCY ROOM! &THE FACT THEYLL BILL THAT INSURANCE WITH NO PROBLEM YET WONT TAKE CARE OF THEIR PATIENTS! Even if someone came out just to inform everyone why we’re all waiting for 5+ hours to get seen! I have watched 40 employees go home!! Shoot they need to stay for overtime considering the emergency room got the same faces as 5 hours ago!! Fire SOMEONE HIRE SOMEONE ELSE!! The higher ups need to crack down bc

This place is the absolute worst! I've been here twice in the same week trying to be seen for severe chest pain. Both times, the lobby was full of homeless people who checked themselves in just to get out of the weather. While I sat for 5 hours in pain, I watch one after the other be seen. While waiting the police had to make one leave for being disruptive. This is sad and pathetic! I had a heart attack 8/8/25 so I don't take chest pains lightly but clearly this place does. I'm clearly going to have to go to another city to be seen but I'll never find out what's wrong with me but coming here!

Nothing says welcome like poop diapers littering the floors of the restrooms, with incompetent receptionists & security in the childrens ER. They have no answers to anything & stay on their personal phones talking to friends like they are walking through the park on a day off. The doctors are professional but the operation as a whole is very disorganized. Leaky faucets & funky smells almost everywhere you go. Wouldn't recommend a stay here.

I am utterly appalled and the treatment my mother in laws family and I received by the staff at this hospital. Their snide, rude comments and unprofessional demeanor should be evaluated by the board. My mother in law was in a serious accident leaving her to be cared for in the trauma icu. The patient advocate took us to the respite family room where it was already full of people. So to be able to stay together the family waited in the hall by the elevators for several hours for a patient advocate who was supposed to come back and take us to a larger waiting room. It took hours to get any information about her condition and we kept getting told they didnt have her in the system. When we finally got some answers we requested to be shown to another waiting area that was larger. The nurses ass

The entire staff [CNAs, Nurses, Dietary, Security, etc] that we have encountered IS Absolutely exceptional. Our Mother was cared for as if she was amongst actual family. We [ including the patient, Judy] would love to have Dr Sean Wang esp recognized. He has a servant's heart, and truly cares bc you can feel it beaming from his soul. He took his time to thoroughly explain things; such as, calling her MawMaw the days that that was resonating most with her, and hugging her to calm her visible upset. Please Iet that man know he has been a detrimental part of a family's [most importantly, that family's very loved matriarch] peace of mind & understanding. God made HIM FOR THIS JOB! I hope he never changes, and that he receives recognition of the impact he makes.
