AtlantiCare Urgent Care Manahawkin

Staff were very pleasant and waiting time was minimal. Website says on site lab and prescriptions written. I've been feeling very unwell for about 3 weeks and can't get any appointments with a primary dr until January. Based on the website I was hoping to obtain a script to get labs done somewhere. I also inquired about a very small prescription of antibiotics so I can visit a dentist ( 2 joint replacements) and no, could not get that either. It was a total waste of my time. The doctor's advice was to go to the ER. I'm feeling terrible but it's not an emergency ( yet) SERIOUSLY?? 2 stars because staff were pleasant but otherwise ZERO.

I posted a review 3 months ago (October 2025) after visiting here and I needed to update my experience. Feeling horribly unwell I was hoping to get some help quickly. I was seen, vitals were taken even though my heart rate was very high and my face ashen gray. That's it, not even any tests for covid or flu. A few days later I had to call 9-1-1 and be rushed to Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin. After labs & a CT in the ER (ER was extremely efficient and no waiting) I was immediately admitted for SEPSIS, severe abdominal issues and even had a large abcess. I spent 9 days in the hospital and I could have died!!!! SEPSIS is EXTREMELY serious so if you value your life, please don't depend on this place to get help. Being put in an exam room, door closed and no one popped in to explain that there was a complicated situation that needed to be taken care of. I worked in surgeon offices and never left anyone in a closed exam room( unless ) they had to undress for exam. In that situation I would pop in and reassure the patient otherwise I kept everyone apprised of the delay. Then the doctor entered and because I inquired about the extended period of time she introduced herself and pointed to the door and asked “do you want to leave”. How unprofessional she was and continued with a poor attitude until we left the exam room. Will not return if she is there. I will inquire as to who the physician is before coming.

There was a wait but they handled it quite well will text updates on where I was in line Staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. Doctor was personable and informative. I did not feel rushed .

I’m surprised to see negative reviews because we had the most positive experience. My 5 year old daughter had a dog bite and we called to see if they could still see us if we arrived at 7:30 pm. The person on the phone was very friendly and said to come right in. The front desk staff was really kind and helpful and we were seen right away. The two practitioners that we saw were kind and very professional. Not a tear from my five year old the whole time who was nervous going in.
