I did not have a great experience with this practice. It is an “old school” practice, and I appreciate the staff is managing some volume. New patient - as background, I was a patient of Dr. Thomas Gianis and received a communication that his practice was moving to the 33 Upper Overlook Road Office (I was not notified of his subsequent retirement). I don’t mind that, but I do somewhat mind that they did not transfer my patient history and treated me as a “new patient”, and repeatedly referred to me as a new patient, even though I had seen Dr. Thomas Gianis for years. Perhaps there are HIPPA protocols to follow. Appointments - the process was somewhat difficult due to interactions with the staff that were not smooth and were somewhat “snippy” (that was a challenge with Dr. Thomas Gianis

I called this office several times about 5 times trying to get thru letting them know I am in traffic no answer lvm and then tried again and finally someone answered and to no avail she said I had to r/s did not surprise me but no consideration at least I had called and in traffic. She said doctor had to leave for surgery which I don’t believe. There she came back on the phone so fast before trying to get thru to this office. Don’t sit there and talk about policy, try to keep new pts and want them to come here but all this girl did was talk over me and basically say oh well. She said next time plan extra time and put yourself in the pts shoes. I read the reviews and know all amg rely on the reviews and is exactly what I’m talking about. Now let’s see what they say about policy new pt etc….
