Atlanta Center of Dermatology

I went to this office last year. I had seen the previous providers prior to the owners retirement. I liked them. However, the new provider is not very pleasant at all. Additionally, I OVER paid per my insurance. The office owes ME 130.00 as a refund. I have called the office 5 times and left messages. I also called their billing company 5 times. I have spoken to someone at the billing company. They confirmed the 130 was owed. They too have tired contacting the office. Over a year later and no returned calls or refunds. They haven't even responded to their own billing company. I'll ask the BBB for help next.

My experience at this dermatology clinic was far from satisfactory, and I have no intention of returning. The location appears neglected and needs significant improvements, both inside and out. It’s not a place where one would want to undergo any medical procedures. The customer service was abysmal, and Dr. Taliaferro, who performed the biopsy, was not a pleasant experience. Her attitude, presence, and overall demeanor seemed to revolve around money. She lied to me about certain aspects of the process and failed to inform me about my insurance coverage and results. It’s disheartening to see a lack of customer service, respect, and ethical behavior. I used to go to this practice when it was Dr. D'Hue & decided to bring my daughter. I will say that Dr. Taliaferro was great once I got back to see her. But the woman who works the front desk was rude and dismissive. She talks over you & if you try to ask question for clarity she talks over you & then says she's done talking. I canceled follow up appt because of another rude interaction with the woman at the front desk. I liked the doctor, but the unprofessionalism of the front desk staff is just a turn off to me. I'll just find another dermatologist where the experience is good from beginning to end.

I was sent here by the VA (veterans affairs). Had a good experience with all staff members at first besides them not knowing how to bill my insurance and telling me I had to pay 60 dollars out of pocket before leaving. When it came time for a refill on my prescription, I was told to call back and they will send it over to the VA so I could start getting it refilled through their program since I am 100% disabled. Well, this month was the month, and there's no one to help me. I called on a mid-may at around 12 and was told they were actually closed, I said that's fine I'll call back Monday, the woman working insisted 3 times that I give my info her so she could write it down for her staff when they come in. Dr Taliaferro is very kind and competent, has only owned this practice for a short time and it’s in good hands with her. I see a lot of bad reviews about the service but in my experience it was good, everyone was respectful. The world needs more of these small practices in underserved areas. Don’t be too concerned with older reviews which may not reflect the current state.
