Athens Post Acute

My Mom was here recently for rehab, and I just have to say that what a difference there is in this building. I've been in the area a long time and this building didn't always have the best reputation. While my mom was there she said the food was really good and the management team was always available when there was a question. The Admin and DON talked to my mom countless times to make her feel happy during her stay and I really appreciated that.

The facility is beautiful inside and out. Staff is attentive and caring. The therapy team is the best because they take the time to get to know you as a person and what your goals are. The kitchen staff were so wonderful, they were able to meet my needs as a picky eater.

I had a wonderful experience at Athens Post Acute. The facility was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive to all of the residents. The food was delicious and the special Valentine's Day meal organized by the Chef and team to the residents was truly impressive. I love that they make the holidays extra special and every day meals are yummy! The physical therapy area and living spaces were well-maintained and comfortable. Overall, the atmosphere at Athens Post Acute was warm and welcoming. Under new management, and they are the kindest people you will ever meet. They truly care very deeply about the residents. I really need to give a shout out to a few employees that made a huge difference in my outlook on nursing home customer service. I was highly impressed with Nurse Terry and her knowledge of my patient, her attentiveness to detail and her well respected relationship with the staff. Her professionalism did not go unnoticed. Secondly, was recently promoted Amanda to DON (Director of Nursing) which was imo well deserved. She went over and beyond to assist me and made sure to follow up every step of the way answering any question without hesitation. I really appreciated that. Lastly is Brittani who is a recently hired social worker. Brittani is doing an amazing job. Working in social service is no small task , especially when everyone's issue is a priority. My mother went to this facility for one month due to her age and health issues. I wish I would had put her there sooner as for the staff was wonderful to her! She got a haircut they painted her nail and she was happy to be there! I have no bad things to report on this nursing home! Very clean also!!
