Appointment always run two hours late..the entry door says it all! If you are sick don't enter the building stay in your car and call the front desk...they never answer the phone! Lol the worst veteran would be better than this place.

Dr. Aliff and Athens Medical saved my bacon twice. The front office and administrative and medical staff are prompt professional yet attentive. Dr. Aliff talks to me, not AT me. They are a breath of fresh air from the medical industrial complex. Just look at how well they wrapped my sprained ankle. The picture and humor are to prove I'm not a bot.

I’ve gone here for 3 years. For 3yrs I’ve loved the providers but have struggled with the office manager due to billing issues. First issue was with my daughter which I filed a dispute due to them trying to double dip. Most recently they now have billed my insurance for a regular office visit instead of the well check which was scheduled and from the orders of the ONLY annual labs was obvious. I have now had to file an appeal with my insurance. I tried to reason with Dawn first however she was rude and unwilling to assist she only canceled my upcoming appointment and stated they would send my records. Dr. Yost is great but the office/administrative is a MESS!

Athens Medical is a circus! Since they became part of the Princeton hospital, they try to funnel patients through WVU for everything. There are less expensive options and better qualified resources. My wife is still waiting for a return phone call and a referral from Athens Medical from back in December. They only want to refer patients to WVU affiliated doctors. If you want a referral to a more highly qualified doctor, plan on waiting a very long time. The office staff has got to be the slowest, laziest bunch of office school rejects. Answering phones is not one of their better skills and don't count on them relaying a message to the doctor. My mother had been going to Athens family med ever since they moved from Princeton. I’m her son and I took her to all of her appointments since she quit driving. I always thought they were very good with her until she recently passed away. They never offered any condolences any sorrow. You are just a warm body and a dollar sign. I would never recommend them to anyone!!
