The worst agency ever. Agreed to a contract of 9hrs per week for 6 days a week. They charged me for 28 hr bc the aids were clueless to how to take care of a bedridden person. Not my fault! But got charged bc it took them 3-4 hrs instead of the 1-2 we agreed on. Every time I called them they screen there calls and would ignore me till it suits them to call back. A few times they sent out no one to take care of my mom. If your short staffed don’t take on clients just so you can make a quick buck!! I do not recommend them one bit. The director comes off as nice and sweet and helpful and then later on rude and wouldn’t admit she broke the contract! Said if I didn’t pay it they send it to collections. Never put your loved one in the hands of these people, either they will be hurt or neglected o

We are new to using Athena Health Care. Cindy, RN, Tina, Supervisor, and Gwen who answered my calls are amazing. The concern and care they give is unheard of these days. I am relieved that they are now involved in the care of my 97 year old mom. Don’t hesitate to call them. The elderly in this country are OVER MEDICATED and families need help navigating their care. Mom needs to be weaned off meds with side effects, of late, too numerous to mention. In our case, mom can’t leave the house to go to an MD so we relied on an APRN from another agency to make visits and prescribe meds. Huge mistake. It is time to rectify and I know that Athena will help us steer mom in the right direction.

New town building bought out from masonicare and has failed. I reviewed this place when it was masonicare abd thought it well started feed for the most part food quality was better and so was professionalism. The tactics of this facility when you complain is to make sure outside agency never hears it. They all feel underpaid so they won't work. They leave linens saturated for days .. they'll do anything not to do treatments or care . Some are drunk and drugged up. After I complained about being in a room with no air conditioning in the hot weather with no TV. Room not getting cleaned cnas on phones or hiding in patients room whom are not coherent. Entering showers with cellphones vulgar language from supervisors and retaliation tactics are t ok write false refusals on patients in order

I have been an entertainer for Athena for at least 10 years and recently they have refused to pay me for my services. I am still owed money from the beginning of the year!!! All other entertainers you should stay away if you don’t want to get paid.

I am a resident at 1350 main st Worcester you are not allow out the building to go shopping buy yourself when you capable. Theirs a lot of Drug activity and people Over Dosing in the TCU part of the nursing home and yet they let these people stay, other resident striking anther resident and they did not discharge that person. some residents should not be here they could get medical care on the outside. the food here is served cold or over cooked or under cooked. You tell the administrator your concerns and she just yes you nothing gets done you call Athena in CT. they very rally return your calls. Theirs 26 residents and only 2 CNAs to take care of showers, bed making, cleaning soiled people, help the nurses with wound care, getting water, heating up thing's and pasting out food trays the
