I was seen by Dr Mermelstein and incorrectly diagnosed as having a fracture of my big toe. After being in a surgical shoe and then boot for over 8 weeks and being told to stay in it for another month as it wasn’t showing as healed on X-ray, I decided to get a second opinion at The Hospital for Special Surgery. An X-ray was done there and I was told I did not have a fracture and actually had arthritis in my big toe - which is a completely different treatment course. This was also confirmed by MRI. I’m now attending physical therapy to correct the consequences of being unnecessarily immobilized for so long. If you’re not improving, don’t hesitate to get a second opinion. I regret that I waited so long to be properly diagnosed.

My Mom had 2 very healing & productive foot visits w/Dr. Anita Krish. She is a wonderful podiatrist who is very knowledgeable in her specialty! We went for a toe-nail trimming & were so grateful that she noticed my Mom had an infected wound bc of friction between her big toe & second toe. She treated it right away (& told us how to care for it at home.) She also has great bedside manner! Thank you Dr. Krish! We appreciate you! (Our favorite specialist appt.)

Dr. Krish was amazing and put me at ease with her knowledge and confident diagnosis. I am recovering from a massive stroke and Dr. Krish was patient and made me feel safe. The front desk staff and nurse/support were professional and added to my wonderful appointment.

The doctor was awesome and so was the timeframe... I just didn't like that. I wasn't told the price for postop aftercare kit upon consultation. The doctor told me that I was going to be given the kit and a few minutes after the assistant came in and said it was going to be $45 extra for it.... I just feel this is something that should have been told to me prior to my procedure...

The office had professional yet caring staff and Dr Mermelstein gave all patients personal attention. First time in a long time I witnessed a thorough exam! Thank you!
