Assonet Animal Hospital

Dr. Long is an absolute gem. His knowledge and commitment to doing what’s best for every animal is unmatched. I trust him and his team completely with my dog’s care and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Just moved to the area and needed a vet closer. Glad I found Assonet Vet. Dr Long was great! He was kind , thorough, informative and gentle w my Fiona. Staff was very nice as well

Should be named “selective animal services” because they only seem to want to take animals for well appointments and only when they’re “current” patients. I was just told that they would not take my sick cat because they do not have any records of her there. First of all, it’s not my fault if they got rid of her records. Second of all, a person should be able to seek treatment for their pet at any animal hospital. Their whole job is treating animals! Whether they’ve seen them before is irrelevant. What if I was new to town or just got this cat? Nope, can’t go there. They’re clearly not sorry about it either. I was told to bring the cat to an urgent care. And when I mentioned that those places OVERcharge…not that I was unwilling to pay a responsible price, but that I didn’t want to pay $500

This place is the best. Very professional and more importantly they’re compassionate to my dogs health. They were understanding of my financial situation and worked with me and my family to provide the proper care for my dog Dino. In very grateful for them.

Dr. Long and his team are absolutely wonderful! Dr. Long provides excellent care for his patients. He addressed all of my questions, providing honest and knowledgeable answers.
