Aspen Dental - Gaylord, MI

The people at Aspen are friendly and professional! Their business model however, is not! Excessive x-rays were taken, despite my stating that I was ONLY interested in services covered by my insurance. The excess charge: $168. I was repeatedly told that after "evaluation" someone (turned out to be a high pressure salesperson) would go over my results (then in a barely audible murmur) and financing. The goal there seems to be to nice you into complacency, then switch you to a different person to "close the sale" and sell financing. In my case, at 73 years of age, with just two fillings in my mouth, no reason to be there except to evaluate if I will eventually need dental work & to inquire about tooth whitening, the salesperson hit me with an potential $11,600 bill....... Just a warning and heads up about this business’ billing practices… The staff is very kind and they were able to see me for an emergency appointment. However, after the exam and a ton of ex-rays, they had me wait for 40 minutes in a waiting area until I could speak with a “sales agent” (she even told me that she feels like a used car salesperson and her “office” was open to the main office with no privacy) who went over a treatment plan with me that spanned out 14 months. She then requested that I pay for it all right then and there! Thousands of dollars! I found it very odd because I have never had to pay that far out in advance for fairly routine dental work. The dentist did not ask me what I would like done or offer me any options at all. They basically told me what would be done. Again

Super quick, friendly, skilled, helpful. All the good adjectives. They pulled three of my teeth a while back and everything went great. I didnt have insurance but they helped me anyway and even helped me set up a payment plan. I hope i dont have to go to the dentist again but if i do i will likely choose them.

Such a wonderful experience here! Friendly staff, very knowledgeable assistants, hygienists, and dentists. The assistant was great at giving x-rays, the hygienist told me more about a chronic condition with my teeth than I had ever known, and the dentists asked me if I had any questions at the end of the visit! I never felt rushed! Go here..you won’t regret it. SECOND REVIEW!!! The whole staff is very friendly and willing to answer,any questions you may have or any concerns you may have. They definitely make you feel at ease. This was my 1st visit and I have a very high anxiety when it comes to needles and dentists in general,but not here. The dentist promised me I wouldn't feel the needle and I believe him. I finally found a dentist I feel comfortable with and feel I can trust. Will definitely be going back. I need my teeth pulled and the best part is I'll be walking out with dentures the same day. It's GREAT I'll finally be able to not only smile again,but have the smile i use to have thanks to them.
