Ascension Via Christi St. Francis

The room was clean and stocked with all the needed details at arrival. Most of the nurses were great, though it took them quite a bit of time to respond with only 4 patients. Overall very nice, kind and helpful once they get to your room. I loved that at night in this ward you could actually sleep and not be woken up every 3 hours for something. Since I was in a specialist floor it didnt seem like the floor doctor wasn't that knowledgeable about my case nor did either one stay to talk more than 2 minutes. The food was amazing and the café staff was super helpful every time I had questions about the menu and there were a lot, Im very thankful for them.

I was SO impressed with the level of care I received. ALL the staff were very kind, caring and compassionate. The medical team was most impressive. The nurses on CCU were extremely well trained and went above and beyond what I have seen in other care facilities. The doctors took time explaining my condition and taking great care to ensure my well-being. Everyone made what was a terrifying experience a lot easier to deal with. God forbid I would need a hospital again, but if I do St. Francis will be my first choice.

What impressed me about this hospital is that the staff constantly asked us " what did we want? What were our goals?" We were there over a weekend and the doctors and staff were always around and we never felt like we were stuck until later to get answers about the latest health making decision. Whatever your need is, they have a great specialist that will come by your room and they take all the time you need to answer your questions. They give you information, you make the decision and they hasten to do your orders. The next day if your decision changes, they change their direction with the new direction you want to go. No judgement, I only felt support through difficult decisions in areas that I had no experience in to navigate.

I came today for a Lunch and Learn seminar at the Guadalupe conference room, at St Francis hospital. You do learn a lot and it's fun to attend

My surgery experience at ascension Via Christi was very positive. Thankfully I was scheduled for earlier morning. Everything went very smoothly from check in (I did it online) to short wait times, very competent preop people. as well as those in anesthesia and the actual OR personnel. Same thing when I was an overnight „guest“ on the surgical floor. Even the wheelchair escorts were very friendly. Of course, last but by no means least, my awesome surgeon, Dr. Brown, in whom I have full confidence. Well done, everyone!
