Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Emergency Department

Dr.Kenneth Wong was amazing! Even while being busy he was attentive and understanding! The whole staff was amazing from front desk to nurses!! 10/10. One of the best experiences in the ER that I’ve had. They all showed care for my son and helped him tremendously.

Upon my arrival they made me as comfortable as possible till I could be seen. Triage people seemed a little hesitant about how to care for me. The PA and those who took my blood were very efficient, kind and caring. The young woman who did my ultrasound was amazing and very calming. When I returned to the waiting room it was a long time with no drink of water. When I got my results, in the waiting room, the information seemed to conflict with the information I was given at discharge. It was confusing. I had to do some Google search to somewhat understand. All in all pretty favorable visit. I very much appreciated the care and concern of the staff in every area I was in.

Started out good. They were extremely busy when I got there at 9am for kidney stone pain. They got me right back for a consultation and got an iv started and an order for pain medication and thats where it stopped being good. The pain medication they gave me didn't help at all. I told the guy that gave me the iv he just blew me off. I was moved to sit in this row of chairs to wait for a ct scan. I was in so much pain, throwing up, cold . Kept telling whoever would come by that the pain meds didnt work and to please tell my assigned Dr. Noone ever did. I finally did the ct scan at around 3pm. Then went back to waiting. At around 4am, Dr finally called me back told me what was going on with scan and lab work . Got me in a room and ordered more pain meds . Get in the room. The nurse assi

Few months ago, my baby fell over while playing with his brothers and hurt his leg. My husband took him here and he received great care. My husband came back raving on how much he loved this hospital and wanting to switch over from Wesley. So, yesterday when my foot fell through a sewer while I was getting off the bus (it was covered in snow and bus door opened directly in front of it), I chose this location to go for care. The moment I got up from my fall, I had immediate swelling that subsided by the time I got to the hospital. But the pain increased, along with numbness and throbbing that hasn’t gone away. I’ve never been in an ER for myself before, but it was sufficiently horrifying. The whole experience took six hours. Meanwhile the patients were all sitting in wheelchairs against the wall in the hallway. I was clearly in visible pain and asked for something to manage it. Eventually, they gave me Ativan, which helped a little but didn’t last long. It also seemed chaotic. People were moving from waiting room to lobby several times and staff had to keep trying to find them.
