Ascension SE Wisconsin - Mayfair Road - Urgent Care

This has to do with Labcorp inside the Ascension Mayfair Wauwatosa location. They decided to "update" their system after a holiday weekend and it has been a disaster! You no longer check in at the front counter but go to the express kiosk in the waiting room and express is only in the name only. I checked in at 11:15a.m. and it is currently 12:30p.m. and I am still waiting to get my blood draw. Where the old system took you minutes to get in and out, the new express system takes over an hour plus to get your blood drawn! And there are only 2 techs in the lab, which with rolling out a new system, here is an idea, have extra techs on hand to speed things up. And the techs have every excuse under the sun why it is taking so long instead of just moving people along.

Today, my daughter was seen at the urgent care. To make a long story short after her doctor visits she always asks them to shred or not give her discharge papers due to the fact most times her personal information as well as medication list is normally on there. Which most doctors or nurse understand. Today she asked A nurse by the name of Katherine Townsend, if she could keep the discharge papers due to that. Katherine, decided to snap on her and walk out the room. As she left the room she continued to say harsh things toward her. My daughter came to me balling into tears because of the embarrassment she felt. I do not recommend this place. I’ve called the number I’ve received to do a complaint. No answer. Hopefully, they contact me back and solve this problem.

I have been dealing with a charge dispute and wanted to warn people with high deductible plans to avoid this urgent care. This urgent care is considered a level 2 urgent care and they separately bill for the facility and the physician. My insurance stated that I have a $75 copay for urgent care visits and I was charged $512 for my wife’s 10 minute visit and flu test. After all of my back and forth, I have gotten no answer on how a 10 minute visit could cost nearly $1200 prior to the amount my insurance covers. Avoid this location!

Be aware of extra charge from this facility. They have extra $500 facility charge on top of $300 doctor charge for a urgent care. Check Yelp and BBB review before you go. Google review is not real.

I went in yesterday at 9:18pm and the receptionist said they were closed, I asked how so if online it clearly stated the clinic closed at 10pm and the nurse or whatever she was so “kindly” told me that their system was down and they were over capacity so they were no longer taking in any other patients, which was weird because there was not a lot of people in the lobby, but what do I know. So get it, it is all about the money for you all and you don’t care about people or their well being, but at least update your hours online if you are going to close the clinic earlier, because turning someone down when they are sick is not okay.
