Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care - Cookeville

I am deeply disappointed and outraged by the treatment my children received at Ascension St. Thomas on South Jefferson Avenue in Cookeville, TN. When my two children became sick after receiving vaccinations, this office refused to see them. The staff’s dismissive attitude and lack of compassion were shocking, and it became painfully clear that bias played a role — my children were denied care because they are biracial. No parent should ever have to experience this kind of discrimination when seeking medical help for their kids. Healthcare professionals have a duty to treat all patients with respect and fairness, regardless of race or background. This office failed that basic standard of decency and professionalism. From the time I walked in the lobby, I was made to feel welcomed. I was impressed with how clean and organized the lobby and facility was - the lady at the front desk was kind and helpful. She showed empathy and concern, the whole process was a 10+ the Care I received from the nursing staff and also the time and attention from the provider were outstanding. I definitely felt valued appreciated and the care I received was tops ! Cookeville regional Medical Center urgent care staff and providers need to go spend a day with these folks. They actually seem to enjoy their job and not hate providing care……I would highly recommend anyone to choose this Urgent Care versus other ones in the Cookeville area.

I have been to this facility several times over the last couple years The nurses and staff here are absolutely amazing. You get seen as fast as they can and while you are being seen you are treated very well. Thank you !!!!

Lady nurse is hands down great. As long as you have a question she sits there never feel rushed or ignored. My son loves her and she has great bedside manners. The prep nurses same, they always give that extra to children, tonight they gifted my son a beanie and gloves, not one that I've met yet 3x going has been rude or not welcome feeling. Love the staff. Office is always clean, bathrooms and rooms always pristine.

I like that I can visit this clinic on my time when needed instead of having to wait for an appointment with my PC. These ladies are so kind, thoughtful, and caring. I just love them. My 5 prescriptions were ready as soon as I got to my pharmacy after leaving the office.
