Asante Ashland Community Hospital

The only positive thing I have to say about this place is that there was essentially no wait time when I took in my severely dehydrated and fevering daughter after waiting in the Medford ER for 7 hours. The nurse that tended to her was nice enough but the doctor was arrogant and patronizing from the moment he walked in the room. His tone only changed slightly when he realized I wasn't going to tolerate being spoken down to.

Every time I go there to the emergency room or to take my daughter in, we have to wait for 2 to 3 hours or longer last night. My daughter cut her hand, almost open at work, opening a package of knives for an elderly lady. She went to the emergency room she waited for three hours. They still hadn’t seen her and there were two boys ahead of her that were there for four hours and had not been seen it was midnight. It seemed very slow. It wasn’t busy there seem to be no reason for this so my daughter decided to go to a different hospital in Medford and she got seen within five minutes. They took an x-ray they did stitches. The Ashland hospital made her sit there with her hand almost cut open almost cut in half without helping her at all.

It sucked to fall off my e-bike but I was in such good hands at the ER! Debra my nurse was incredibly caring and my doctor was thorough and listened well. Even though the whole unit was full I never felt shunted aside. From the CT scan to the stitches in my lip everyone was kind and professional!

Was accosted at the door (the patient line) by a man who tried to tell me I couldn’t talk to someone in billing. When I stated that I would like to talk to someone at the desk instead of him as I didn’t feel as though my personal information was secure with him just prattling at me and there was a specific bill I wanted to address under presumptive care… he started carrying on loudly that they don’t deal with financial aid cases and that the lady who was doing that at their location wasn’t supposed to be. I said, that’s nice, I’d like to talk to the woman at the desk. He was loud, rude and aggressive. I walked to the desk and asked if I could speak to someone in billing. The woman at the desk said sure, no problem… the male interrupted and again started carrying on about financial aid not

They’re AMAZING here. So much better than the Medford Asante ER…they treat you like an actual person in Ashland. And take great care of you. They’ve saved me and many people I know more than once. They’re amazing
