Artisan Smiles

I rarely write reviews but when I saw all negative reviews I thought I’d share my very different experience with them. I was very worried when I first when there for my consultation because I too read all the poor reviews and it was hard to get them on the phone to schedule. However, I had two consultations and two procedures done there in the last 7 months and I can say I was very impressed with the service, politeness of the staff and overall experience. They billed the entire procedure to my insurance company and I was not responsible for a single dollar either time. The work was done quickly, comfortably and healed very well. If I could give less I would. Didn't even put me to sleep to extract 18 teeth. Can't tell you how much pain I was in. He assumed I was a junkie apparently because I told him I'd been clean from everything for over 25yrs. His attitude changed instantly, and as I said, he did a 2hour operation with nothing but a local. I was and still am in excruciating pain and went to pick up my scripts, which he didn't call in in time to have them delivered. Got to the pharmacy by Uber cause there was no way I could possibly eat in so much pain, only to be given Ibuprofen. Was rushed out after 5 mins of recovery. I asked the nurse why I wasn't put to sleep her exact words were" well you have a high tolerance and am frail????" I am 5'9 180lbs. That's frail, and how does anyone know my tolerance. Now I have

I went to this oral surgeon with my own trays from my dentist made us pay for new ones. Even though the trays I took prior werent a few months old. I have been dealing with my teeth bleeding( not gums)for months I decided to go here cause my dentist recommended. If you want your teeth exstracted don't go to this oral surgeon. I went there when I was younger and different experience. I guess non stop bleeding mouth is nothing and teeth pussing. I truly appreciate to oral surgeon but at least he could do is at least look in my mouth.

UPDATE: I called my dentist office and explained to them artisan smiles was on my List of places that covers my procudurr through insurance and told them artisan smiles demanded I got sedated. They said no I do not need to be sedated. They also told me that my insurance DOES cover sedation…meanwhile artisan smiles is trying to get me to pay $480 out of my own pocket for the sedation “because it’s not covered with my insurance”. What a scam. Trying to get paid by both my insurance also out of my own money. My local dentist told me thank you for my feedback & explaining what happened and they took Artisan Smiles off of their list of oral surgeons to send patients to. I can't lie, the multitude of negative reviews on this place almost turned me away. This was not my experience at all and those reviews didn't match the service and experienced I had over the past 2 weeks. From day one of walking into the office I was treated respectfully and handled with care. In 2 weeks I had my first appointment booked and the tooth I needed work on extracted. The extraction process was swift and painless and I'm on the road to healing. Also, I had no funny business with billing or anything. I think people just went in there miserable with the wrong attitude and it gave them that negative experience. Highly recommend.
