I live in Selma, and always allow extra travel time when I have an appointment in Birmingham. I arrived at Dr. Blake’s office about 40 minutes before my appointment time and was seen early! This was my first visit to Dr. Blake since my former rheumatologist has retired. I found Dr. Blake to be very thorough ,very pleasant ,very professional ,and very caring. He took time reviewing my current medications for my condition, and I look forward to seeing him again in six months. The office staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, as I was a new patient.

My primary NP referred me to Dr. Blake for a diagnosis following some concerning lab results. The office called very quickly after my referral was sent to set up my appointment. I was able to fill out all of my information online prior to my visit so that there was no paperwork to be done in office upon my arrival which was extremely convenient. The office is beautiful with very comfortable seating. Every single person that I spoke with throughout my visit was lovely and very helpful. The wait time was very short. From the time I walked in to the office the experience was wonderful. The receptionist is so pleasant and helpful. The furniture is extremely comfortable it's like being at home not a doctor's office which is fantastic when your body is hurting. You go back into the office first stop for your vitals you're made to feel you're the only person they care about. Dr Blake is such a kind caring person. He lets you explain how you have been feeling and does not rush you he lets you have input in your care. He takes the time to explain to you any questions you have. Dr Blake has given me many options to choose from and all the information to take home and read to make decisions for my body and health. I cannot highly recommend him enough. It is an appointment that you look forward to not dread.

As always, I enjoyed my visit mainly because I am listened to and TALKED TO and NOT AT in a professionally not run in then run out and I will see you in 3 months manner.
