Tried to go in the store about 15 minutes ago to buy some winter long sleeve pull over shirts... the guy that was running the store today didn't want us to come in I guess we must have looked homeless but we live in the apartments in behind the store... Be wise don't give your donations to this place they'll never get in the proper place go to Haven of Mercy.... This guy and this store is very prejudiced if you look homeless. Simply wanted to buy some shirts would not serve us for no reason and I've been in there several times.. purchased a Christmas sleigh the green one this may ringer your memory.. Mr smartass

I went there today to get some winter shirts was stopped at the door like I was at animal I guess you would say.. the creepy looking guy that kind of looks like Nicholas Cage. I was going to open the door for them to take a loveseat in he stopped me said they were about to close it was an hour before closing time... I just wanted to get a couple of fall shirts.. this is not a good place I do not recommend it at all.. they they stereotype people . I live there behind them in the townhouses. He also made it a point to me that he did not buy from thrift stores... This is the South Johnson City location..... Every who's in charge should get rid of this guy he drives a little compact pickup that's always set it in the shade out back he's creepy

This place is the only homeless agency when googling help with homelessness in upper east TN to choose from if your without Small children aside from the day center. Arch has declared me chronically homeless over 2 yrs. Ago and knows I've experienced 2 presidentially declared disasters within the last 6 yrs. And they are also "the" continuum of care in this area. When I call which has gotten up to near 20x since the first over 2 yrs. Ago me begging for help finding a home, filing for disability because they I believe are Soar and Path providers. The woman says well what is it exactly you need us to do for you?! With attitude. They have never called me back and know I've done everything in my power to find a place to rent. I know of issues they've dealt with the last couple yrs of embezzle

I really hate to give bad reviews but I believed in this organization till I was one that needed their help. My husband is disabled both in our mid 50's. Our apt complex got bought out in Feb 2022 and living there 3 years the new owners raised rent to $1,300 MN and didn't honor verbal agreement with seller to give current tenants a 6 MN period to find suitable housing or remain at current apt. I tried desperately to be proactive and not become homeless but yet here we are homeless, hopeless, and exhausted. I started contacting ARCH in March, 2022 to do an intake and have everything I place ahead of time if no housing acquired. After many unreturned calls. Intake setups that never happened did intake on 4-6-2022. I marked it on my calendar. After intake complete waited a month called.

I've left numerous calls and sent multiple messages, nothing ever returned. I really don't like giving bad reviews but... You earned it.
