Apex Dental Associates - Turners Falls

Did not provide a proper evaluation for a painful tooth. Took an x-ray of the area and when I stated it was one tooth causing the pain, I was told that is transfer pain and it was caused by a different tooth. They scheduled me out almost a month even though I had pain that had progressively gotten worse. I called 2 times from my appt. And was told they had no earlier appointments. I was in agony 5 days after my initial urgent visit for considerable tooth pain. I found another dentist that had taken the time to not only xray my entire mouth. But also performed more than 2 tap tests to figure out which tooth was causing the pain. 6 days after my apex appt. I am not in pain today because another office cared enough to get me in ASAP. The staff was excellent. The service was on time and completed in an efficient matter. I'm older and I must say the people that work for the office and take care of my teeth are by far the nicest and most competent I've ever had. Andrea explained what she was doing and how to take care of my teeth very well.

Had a temporary crown put in this morning. What a lot of work involved in that! Very satisfied with Apex Dental, from the receptionist right on through - a pleasant, competent group. Cleaning in September. As usual thorough and competent work. Had a tooth extraction this time. As usual, thorough, competent work and staff. Cleaning and fitting for a dental guard to replace the one broken when I dropped it, and to help the TMJ that happened after that. As usual, competent and pleasant work and staff.

They seem to be short-staffed with dentists. I had two appointments where there was no dentist even present in the building so I had a cleaning, but no exam by a dentist so no assessment of the health of my teeth or gums. I have never had this experience before. Very strange. They were also “out of toothbrushes” every time I went in. I mean I can buy my own toothbrush lol, but it just seemed to indicate a larger lack.
