I have been taking my cats to APAW since I moved back to the DC area in 2018 and I could not have asked for a better place to care for my cats as they aged into seniors. My cats had a variety of health issues including kidney disease/failure, arthritis, skin dermatitis, heart disease, etc and each time I bought my cats in for care I was educated on my cats health issues, had all of my questions answered, advised of treatment options they could provide and when to seek more specialized care (dermatology, cardiology, etc). Also, I could not have had a more compassionate and kind experience when I ultimately had to euthanize Jackson and Colby. In the future when I do get more pets they will be my providers again.

When I called to update them that our lovely dog died, they put me on hold. Didn't ask. Just did. That person's name was 'Shelly.' A long term patient, our dog died 5 days after what one would assume was a clean bill of health from the "examination" we paid for. Explain to me how this vet examined our dog. Did they use a stethoscope? How did they miss the fluid in her lungs? She died of undiagnosed *metastatic cancer* five days later. We assume she had a relatively clean bill of health because they gave her two vaccines and a first dose of a drug that can only be administered by a veterinarian. So for me the question remains -- did a vet actually examine our sweet girl and decide that her bloated belly and pain were not any kind of issue? Or did they perform a cursory review, skip any ac

I could not be more satisfied with the care my Lhasa Apso receives from this team. This is the only vet clinic he's been to since we've had him and every interaction has been wonderful. The staff is caring and accommodating to our needs. I'm truly thankful to have them as a resource when it comes to the health of my son.

Very kind and gentle caretakers for my Cat. She is not too keen on vets, but they made her feel at home :). Clean space and short wait time for our appointment .

My new favorite vet! I bought my dog in for a bump that had formed on his abdomen and was growing by the day. They were able to make time to see him the same day, which I am very appreciative of because I know vets and doctors are backed up due to covid. They even went the extra mile to send me a photo of him during his appointment. The doctor came out and explained what was going on, a few antibiotics and a week later and I have seen a great improvement, he is almost as good as new! I will definitely be making this my primary vet going forward (Bonus points that they take care plus insurance)
