Anna B Korzan M.D. | Kaiser Permanente

In November 2023, my mother was in advanced heart failure and, through Kaiser Health, fell under the care of Dr. Ana Korzan. To be clear, our mother was gravely ill and had multi-organ failure that Inova doctors and family had worked hard to manage and even improve. The goal was never to save her life. It was to give our loved one as much time and quality of life as realistically possible. This is where having Dr. Korzan as a doctor became a problem. Dr. Korzan seems to have a disdain for treating patients who are DYING- not at risk of dying, but terminal. Her dismissive manner and the language she uses when talking to the family of these patients give the impression that the doctor feels it’s a waste of her time and resources to treat someone who will die anyway. A waste that she resents.

Dr.Korzan is the worst doctor we have ever encountered. Her lack of care reached the level of negligence. She is totally uncaring, lazy and unqualified to be responsible for a patient. She did not review my mother's file, did not engage in providing care and then told us that since she is dying, there is no point. She should not be allowed to practice. She is a Kaiser Permanente doctor at VHC so you may not have a choice but if she is the hospitalist for your loved one, ask for another. She should NEVER be allowed to treat your family.

My family and I recently had the privilege of experiencing the unparalleled care and expertise of Dr. Korzan while seeking treatment for my mother who was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. During this challenging journey, a sudden development of sepsis brought about a critical condition, and it was at this crucial moment that Dr. Korzan truly emerged as a guardian angel. From the very first interaction, Dr. Korzan exhibited exceptional compassion, deep empathy, and a genuine desire to provide the highest level of medical care to my mother. Her expertise and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of our experience. Absolutely the worst doctor. No compassion, awful bedside manner, rude, and little to no knowledge. She made an unbearable situation much worse with her horrific bedside manner. If I could give her less than 1 star, I would. She should have her license revoked. She was the doctor on call at VHC that we were stuck with as members of Kaiser. Horrific experience, through an unbearable time, due to this doctor.

Dr Korzan was the best MD to help me after my emergency surgery visit at VHC. She is friendly, informative and knowledgeable. She tells it to you straight. Thank you Dr Korzan -Michael
