Animal Medical Center of Macomb

Took my cat in for his yearly check up + two vaccinations and it was definitely a 5 star experience! The building itself is really nice and clean. They had some really cute fall/Halloween decorations too! The decorations aren't necessarily super relevant to the quality of service itself but I feel like it sends the message that the staff care about where they work. The ladies working the desk, the nurse (if that's what they're called for pets?), and the vet were all friendly and helpful. This was my first time taking a pet to the vet so I don't have any other experiences to make any comparisons to other services, but to me it seemed like a thorough yet not overly time-consuming examination. They did a good job with his vaccines too- it seemed like my cat wasn't bothered by getting poked at

I had an emergency with my pup and they were the only local veterinary office that was willing to see her! I am so thankful for the Dr and staff as they took great care of my fur baby!

Highly recommend this vet! I drive over an hour away to use them for ofas for my golden retrievers. Everyone is always so friendly and very knowledgeable. With having multiple bad experiences at vets that had no knowledge on ofas and how to properly position, I couldn’t be anymore happy to have found this vet!

I've never been to any other vet in Macomb, and thankfully never had a reason to seek out another vet. I boarded my dog there and he received a high level of care on two different occasions. This is why I put 4 stars instead of 5: Just like other kennels, they require a certain set of vaccinations for your dog to board there. I got an exam done as well as the first part of the two part series vaccination. A couple of months later, I went back for part 2 of the vaccine and was slapped with another exam fee. Upon brining it up to the staff, they said if you bring your dog in for anything, they are hitting you up for an exam fee. I don't necessarily agree with that. Even if it's common practice in the industry doesn't make it right. The first dose of the vaccine was administered by Dr. Loop

The staff and Veteranarian are nice. The place is very clean. The prices seem comparable with other Veteranarians. It took a couple of appointments and a visit from me to pick up medication before my cat got any relief. His symptoms seemed to be a mystery to everyone involved. Hopefully he is on the mend now...I hope!
