Andrew Gunther, MD - RETIRED

I am a fairly long term patient of Dr. Gunther's. His office staff is exceptional; I have never had a problem making an appointment that meets my schedule, and imaging tests are ordered and scheduled immediately. Results are available within days, and I have never had a problem getting them from his office staff. The doctor is very professional, yet is also quite personable and friendly. He is direct and to the point, uses language easily understood by the patient, and is quite forthcoming with information about my problems. I was very impressed when I went to him with a knee issue that could be resolved surgically. He explained the surgery to me in detail, and then recommended against it. He told me, correctly as it turned out, that my body would heal itself in 6 months or so, and

I'm a new patients with knee problems. Talking to Dr.Gunther he was very attentive and listen to everything I say. He took the time to explain many things I asked about, I was very impressed with his professionalism an understanding of my condition. Completely comfortable and impressed to the point where my wife is thinking of seeing him for her knee problem as well. as an update, he perform surgery on my knee and treated me after that I am now back to work after 9 months and very thankful to dr. Gunther.

I had elbow surgery in July 2021. It is 9 months later and my elbow is completely out of commission. I now have an appointment with a specialist coming up. We all know that no doctor wants to pick up the slack of a previous doctor. I have had to return to Dr. Gunther 4 times since the surgery. I even had to have him shoot me up with a cortisone shot. He doesn’t like to have to do that after his own surgery. What Doctor does right.. after that shot i waited the given time before i needed another shot. He did not shoot me up with another one because of the risks of too many cortisone shots. Ok. But his surgery didn’t fix me and he has nothing to say about that. Shame on him. Dr Gunther is a great orthopedic surgeon. great bedside manner. He is my family's orthopedic surgeon . He makes everything understandable but it's easy for you to understand. He's done my knee twice. And now working on my hip. I also love his staff Paula is a great secretary .
