AMG Specialty Hospital - Charleston

My father received exceptional care at the AMG Specialty Hospital. All of the nurses, doctors, and staff went above and beyond to make him as comfortable as possible and to keep us informed about each step of care. The staff and nurses made us feel like family as we came in daily to visit our father. The administrative folks worked extremely hard to coordinate in-home hospice care for my father so he could enjoy his time with family in the comfort of his own home. There are too many folks to thank by name, but we would like to thank everyone that was involved in his care, from the folks that handle check-in, the maintenance personnel, the admin personnel, doctors, other staff, and especially the nurses in the 5000 hallway. My family member receives incredible care at AMG in Mt.Pleasant. Linda (respiratory) and Tyra are incredible and professional practitioners and they also have huge hearts. Their care for their patients is outstanding and I am grateful.

Mr Miller it was a pleasure to have my mother under your care. You and your staff worked awsome with her. The communication between the nurses, doctors and therapist were on point . The atmosphere was pleasing and the facility was always clean. Ms. Meagan was super every question asked was answered in a timely matter . Mr. Miller did the exact same. My mom speaks highly of all of you all and was pleased with her care.

My wife was at AMG Hospital for extended care after she fell ill. Throughout her stay she received quality care from everyone who cared for her. Their support, concern and professionalism helped her not only physically but mentally during her recovery journey. A special thanks to the nurses, doctors, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists who helped her recover quickly from her illness. She was also grateful for the cleanliness of the facility and for the quality of meals provided. With the persistent help of my wife’s Case Manager, Jamie, she was able to be transferred to the rehab facility of her choice, upon her discharge from AMG. Overall, I am very happy with the level of care I received. I wish I could name every staff member who took such great care of me, but that just wouldn’t be realistic. However, a few people truly deserve a special shout-out: Glenna (GG) for my wound care; Nurses Connor and Prisa (forgive me if I spelled that wrong); Kenya, a nursing aide; and Kay from dietary. Each of them went above and beyond for me. There are many wonderful people there who work hard and provide excellent care—these just happened to stand out during my stay. I’m truly grateful for all of them.
