Amerita Specialty Infusion Services - Denver

Amazing in-home nurses, TERRIBLE corporate staff. I've been working with Amerita for the past 8 weeks for IV and accessory deliveries and they are 1. impossible to reach by phone 2. my orders are frequently missing supplies 3. they require a weekly "refill" call -- despite the fact that my order is the same every week. This is an Amerita requirement, not an insurance requirement. Last, when I was traveling to another state with Amerita locations and lacked supplies, they were unwilling to overnight supplies to me, citing that they'd have to transfer my files, which would take a few days. All in all, they are not a patient-centric organization. I would try to fill with another pharmacy, if you can.

There are some great nurses and nice service individuals. However, the company itself is poorly organized and it is a fight to get infusions and supplies in a timely manner more often than not. The owners and operators don't seem to understand that we as the patients are relying on their services for important health needs, and when their incompetency delays infusions or supplies, we are the ones who will pay the consequences with potential flareup or ill effects from not getting needed medicines and supplies on time. I always call and give them plenty of time to get supplies/meds out, give any new insurance info etc., but their system is so disorganized that every time their administrative part is left to the last min and jeopardizes my care. Find a different supply company if you can

I've been receiving medical supplies from this company for almost 5 years. The past several months, I have yet to receive an accurate order of the supplies I need. The changes that have been made are way more time-consuming over the phone to get my supplies. Whoever is managing this store really needs some big improvements. I've never had such a hard time ordering. Let alone getting what I need for my medical supplies. I'm about to file a hardship with the management and procedures they have now.

If you like incompetent people who can’t schedule appointments correctly then blame the patient and lazy rude staff that hate their jobs then you will absolutely love this place. It’s unfortunate that I’m forced to go here for my medication. This place sucks a big one. Stay away if at all possible.

I was in the hospital three extra days because they failed to simply read the antibiotics the Dr sent over and got the wrong ones approved by insurance and then were not responsive on the weekend. The only reason I receive deliveries before I run out of medications is because I call and request more. They also have failed to deliver certain parts (heparin lock) when requested in the delivery. In-home nurse for training was nice. That is the only silver lining.
