Dr. Oral Alpan is by far one of the best and most helpful doctors I have ever seen – and I’ve seen many over the years for a complex case. What makes him stand out is not just that he’s extremely intelligent, but how creatively he uses that intelligence to actually help his patients. He doesn’t just run through a standard checklist and send you on your way. He listens carefully, asks thoughtful questions, connects dots other physicians have missed, and then thinks several steps ahead about what to test, what to rule out, and how to move the case forward. I’ve been to a lot of doctors for chronic health issues and Dr. Alpan blows them out of the water. He was on time, he was thorough, I came away from my first appointment with a treatment plan and a follow up visit in two weeks to see how the plan is going. The front desk staff were very helpful and were even able to reschedule me the next week when my primary wasn’t able to complete the referral paperwork in time.

Dr. Alpan is a phenomenal doctor, but as others have lamented here, the nurses and administrative support are turning what should be excellent care into a nightmare. Labs aren’t called in, prescriptions aren’t called in, you can’t reach the front desk through email, text, or calling. You literally have to hound the staff incessantly to get this office to fulfill the most basic requirements of the services being exchanged for legal tender. At one point I had to physically go to an office to get someone to respond to me. I felt like I was doing the nurse’s job and the front desk’s job — I have finally lost my patience on the third instance of getting to the pharmacy and there being no prescription there, and the third instance of going to the lab and there being no lab order.
