American Urgent Care is an exceptional place to visit. From the moment you enter the waiting room, you’re greeted by professional, compassionate intake staff who make the check-in process quick and easy. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer any questions, and their kindness feels truly genuine. The average wait time is about 20 minutes before seeing Dr. Newman. Dr. Newman is an outstanding physician. He is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to thoroughly examine his patients, answer questions, and clearly explain each step of the treatment process. You never feel rushed during your visit. It’s evident that Dr. Newman genuinely cares about his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Newman and the entire American Urgent Care team.

This was my second visit to American Urgent Care, and both times I saw Dr. Newman. I was very impressed by his office. The office is modern, safe, clean, well organized and equipped with new technology. Both visits, no wait period. As someone with asthma, I’ve struggled to find urgent care centers that actually have nebulizer treatments—9/10 facilities (and even my own primary doctor) don't carry them and just tell me to go to the ER. For someone who is in distress and cannot breathe, that is the last thing a person wants to do is wait in the ER. This office not only has the equipment for breathing treatments but also provides Spirometer testing and on-site X-rays. Dr. Newman is incredibly thorough. I have been a patient of Dr. Robert Newman for four years. This may be somewhat unusual, but my personal residence is on the OTHER side of Mulholland Dr. But the quality of Dr. Newman's care in Tarzana makes the trip worthwhile. Maybe this will help you consider my praise more seriously, because I am a practicing physician myself. Yes, I have M.D., as well as a PhD. I am also Board Certified in my medical specialty. My residency training was all at U.S.C., followed by many years on the Clinical Faculty of U.S.C. and U.C.L.A. At this point in my life, I am Emeritus Attending Physician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. I have chosen, Robert Newman, this fine, caring man, as my personal primary physician. American Urgent Care Center is the best urgent care I ever experienced. The office is super neat and clean, the staffs are friendly and helpful and understanding. The owner, Dr. Robert Newman is so nice, very very knowledgeable,and so caring. He is a real gentleman, he listened to me carefully and explained everything very clearly. He is very patient and I highly recommend this office.

Dr. Newman must be our maker in person. He has got to be the best Healthcare Provider on Earth. Just by looking at me he knew I had a blood clot and sent me to the Emergency Room. I am so grateful for his service.i really wish he would be a private practice Internist. Dr. Newman has got to know more than any other Provider out there.
