American Pediatric Dental & Orthodontic Group - Coral Springs

We had a very disappointing experience. My 5-year-old was nervous during his appointment and the doctor showed very little patience. We ended up leaving because my son was overwhelmed. About 10 minutes later he had calmed down and was ready to continue treatment, but we were told they were closing for lunch and would need to come back another day — even though he had already been injected with anesthesia. We ended up going to a different dentist the next day, and the experience was completely different. The doctor there was incredibly patient, took the time to make my child comfortable, and was able to treat all three cavities quickly and effectively. When treating young children, patience and understanding are essential. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here.

My daughter has been going to American Pediatric Dentistry since she was 2! We started at the Pembroke location, and now that we’re in Coral Springs, we’ve found a doctor we absolutely love. The dental hygienists are always so kind, and when my daughter asks them to be gentle around a specific tooth, they always double-check with her before flossing that area. We especially LOVE Dr. Tamara McCallum! she’s always personable, attentive, and truly makes you feel like she cares. Thank you so much, Dr. McCallum!

My daughter has been here for her entire 18 years. This facility has the most caring and amazing staff. Dr. McCallum is truly an amazing dentist. Very good bedside manner and professional. The facility is always clean and organised. I highly recommend.

I am extremely disappointed with my last visit at American Pediatric dental 1. During our initial visit, I explicitly asked to keep the same dentist throughout the treatment plan provided which would take 4 different visits. It was fine the first few times and my daughter felt comfortable with her. However, when we arrived for the 3rd visit, despite prior arrangement and my clear request, the office allowed the appointment to be assigned to a different provider. This was done without my consent or notification. The dentist we had previously was booked all day. 2. Additionally - and most troubling is I was charged an unexpected high amount out of the blue. The front desk told me it would be 4 visits and $150 each for my daughter’s treatment plan. But on the 3rd visit, I had a balance of $7

I just want to give a big shoutout to Tashany who cleaned my son’s teeth today. She was so patient, gentle, and friendly the entire time. My son usually gets nervous at the dentist, but she made him feel completely comfortable. You can tell she really cares about her patients and takes pride in her work. I really appreciate her professionalism and kindness highly recommend her to anyone looking for great dental care!!
