So I will start out with the positives: the NP I saw did a great job and got me the right medications and was very helpful. The negatives: I made an appt ahead of time for 11am. I was checked in according to the app/their records at 10:56. I did not get called back out of the waiting room until after 12. I had been sitting in the waiting room for 40 minutes before the receptionist called me up for payment to let me know they don’t take tap and I would need a physical card. They would not bill me & they would not see me unless a paid right there and then. So I had to call my husband to come bring me a card and during that time they started called people back. I always appreciate American Family Care Cahaba Village being there for me. I recently made an appointment and was seen within the hour. Nurse Practitioner Duke solved my issue and got me on the fast track to full recovery.

Online booking, check-in, and waiting room process were awesome. I got seen very quickly, just a few minutes after I'd booked the appointment from home. Once I got back to the evaluation room, I think I was in the room speaking with the nurse practitioner for 45-60 seconds before being prescribed an antibiotic and sent on my way. My infection wasn't touched or inspected — more like glanced at from a few feet away. This would've been fine and very expedient if it had worked out, but I ended up at the ER a couple of days later, because the infected area hadn't been properly drained and the antibiotic I'd been on wasn't recommended for this type of infection. I think a little more attention on the front end would've saved me a lot of pain and hassle.

Made appointment online, arrived and received excellent customer service, minimal wait time. NP diagnosed, planned treatment, and I was released. Overall experience was excellent. Unlike other medical establishments that keep you waiting and drag out your visit. People only want to be treated in order to feel better, not wait around in misery waiting. This staff has got the magic! Thank you!

Very disappointed in the standard of care here. I was seen more than 48 hours ago and have continued to get worse even with the prescription I was given, and rather than offering me an alternate treatment, I was told to wait up to 48 hours longer to “see if I get better”. I am a single mom of a 16 month old, and with the impending weather coming this weekend, I do NOT have 48 more hours to wait and see if I get better. I have a 103 fever currently and they just basically told me to ride it out.
