AME Urgent Care - Downey Florence

I would like to start by acknowledging the front desk team and the physician assistant, who were extremely attentive, kind, and professional. They created a welcoming and organized environment, and we truly appreciated their care and attentiveness. Unfortunately, our experience with the physician did not reflect the same level of professionalism. When he entered the room, he did not make eye contact or meaningfully engage with us. The interaction felt overly casual, lacking the attentiveness and thoroughness one would expect during a medical visit. It left us feeling unheard and uncertain about the quality of care being provided. It was not what I expected. I came In very sick the doctor was very nonchalant. Didn’t offer a Covid test or a strep throat test. Looked in my ear and said there was no ear wax? I didnt Know I was Suppose to have some for an ear infection. I would Not come back and would not recommend. I waited a very long time in the waiting area and the room. I only Came because my regular urgent care couldn’t see me. 4/10

I had to go to urgent care because my bee sting rash is getting worse. When the representative called me at her desk she told me they couldn't even see me because my doctor has retired. Even though they never informed me my doctor retired and the rep told me I have to call my insurance to switch doctors. I called my insurance and little did they know they were never informed that my doctor was retired! So they updated in their system that my doctor is retired and let his patients know he is retired. So of course, I have to different urgent care which I am fine about that. I hope the Downey staff has better communication because this place doesn't seem to care. I am very ecstatic I will never return to this hellhole.

We had a good experience! I was able to make an appointment for my son that same day, when we got there the Waite to get seen was not long only about 10 minutes. They were able to see my daughter too without an appointment, everyone was polite and easy going. I definitely recommend coming here it is a good service and they are not rushing when they check you.

The staff was very caring and helpful. From the check-in, vital in take, and actual doctor visit, everyone was very attentive and kind. The doctor prescribed medicine and I was able to pick it up just 30 minutes later. Also, I received testing to confirm what I had. All in all, I’m very thankful for the care I received from everyone there and recommend this provider.
