For the Alternative Care, OT - My Level II Fieldwork experience here as an OTA student has been a meaningful experience, I was inspired by how Jason and Tasha consistently prioritized client needs and promoted independence through creative, meaningful interventions. Observing their approach taught me the value of empathy, teamwork, adaptability and maintaining a client-centered focus in practice. The collaboration and encouragement motivated me to push myself, ask questions, and continue improving as a student. The therapists were always willing to share their expertise, and provide feedback which made a significant impact on my professional growth. My Level II fieldwork at Alternative Care Occupational Therapy, PC, was an incredibly valuable and transformative experience as an OTA student. Under the supervision of the Occupational Therapy staff, I had the opportunity to work closely with clients across a wide range of diagnoses, which significantly expanded my clinical reasoning and hands-on skills. Through guided mentorship, I learned not only technical treatment approaches but also the importance of client-centered care, therapeutic use of self, and adapting interventions to meet the unique physical, psychological, and social needs of each individual.
