I am very disappointed with my experience at All Smiles Dental. First, they made us wait nine weeks to get my son’s cavity fixed because they insisted we had to go to his orthodontist to have a wire removed. When we finally went to the orthodontist, we were told there was nothing to remove and that there was already plenty of room to fix the tooth. That entire delay was unnecessary and a complete waste of time. On top of that, my son has two dental insurances—one through my employer and one through my wife’s state plan. We have never had to pay a copay before because the state insurance has always covered it. When I asked why we were suddenly being charged, the staff became defensive and treated the situation as if I were arguing, when I was simply asking a reasonable question. Overall,

My dentist does an amazing job at her work, I never feel any pain sitting in her chair. She makes sure to distract you with her tunes (music) and her positive attitude (humor). She does a fantastic job making sure you’re comfortable and relaxed, she is very gentle with all of her work. If anyone is looking for a dentist I would recommend Dr.Trogen

I brought my kids here a couple times for regular cleanings and it was fin. Then, after one cleaning my daughter came out crying. Then the dentist came out to see what the problem was and my daughter said they filled a cavity and didn’t tell her what they were doing. No one discussed this with me before doing so! The cavity was on a wiggly, baby tooth and I would’ve declined to fill it because it was falling out soon. They assured me it was fine because insurance would cover it—no mention about traumatizing my child. Needless to say, we switched dentists after that. Fast-forward a couple years, and one of my kids is getting her braces off and needs composite buildup on a couple teeth. I have been to this office twice already for routine check-ups and cleaning. The front desk staff, Dr. Poage (my dentist) and Jenny (my dental hygienist) were super friendly and professional. They were very gentle and I felt no pain whatsoever. As an added bonus, my dentist always cracks out the funniest jokes, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. It has always been a pleasure and I highly recommend this practice!
