I first encountered Dr. Jamshidi when I requested an Mri from my PCP. The first doctor from kaiser said I have have two brain tumor. I asked for second opinion so I reach out to Woodland Hills doctor and he referred me to Dr. Jamshidi. Dr. Jamshidi requested another MRI and sure enough he said I have 3. He gave options and explained it to me. I liked the way he talked to me that day very direct. We set the schedule already but he called me earlier and put me on the next availability in the OR. My story began 6 years ago on April 2021. I was 31 years old when I first met Dr. Jamshidi and I was receiving the worst news anyone can get. I was diagnosed as a critical case due to a leaking AVM (arteriovenous malformation) which lead to a brain aneurysm. He was very understanding of my position in fearing the worst because since it was an emergent case I only had a short period time to assimilate the consequences of a craniotomy. My family and I will be forever grateful for Dr. Jamshidi because he was very comforting and made us feel more at ease with the surgery that followed. The surgery took 31 hours to complete and through all that time he was focused on fixing the AVM which turned out to be even more difficult than previously thought. Dr. Jamshidi performed a left frontal craniotomy on my sister and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. As her advocate throughout the process, I was deeply impressed by his expertise, professionalism, and compassion. He took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, answer all our questions, and made sure we felt supported every step of the way. The surgery was a success, and my sister had a very positive outcome and smooth (as can be) recovery. I first met Dr. Jamshidi 4 years ago when it was discovered I had a tumor bending meningioma. From the beginning to present he has always been honest about the findings and how my tumor was progressing. Early this year my scans showed the tumor continued to grow and while at a slow rate Dr. Jamshidi recommended it was time to remove it to prevent further issues. Having just had a baby, I was completely terrified and caught off guard with something no one ever wants to go through. My options were radiation, surgery through the eyebrow or a craniotomy (surgery through the skull). I had Surgery, September, 2025, my surgeon was Doctor Jamshidi. I had a Tumor removed thru my nose, it was attached to a gland near my eyes. I would like to thank Doctor Jamshidi for the care and attention I received from him and his staff before and after my surgery, I’m doing great now.
