Overcharged for routine cleaning and then claimed they did some special service not included in the standard cleaning which they did not do but even if so they never explained this to me or gained my consent to do it or advised me of the add on charges. Office Manager does not reply to emails or return phone calls and hygienist shamed me because my gums bled during the flossing and picking. I see other reviews stating they experienced the exact same scam here so I'd go elsewhere.

This place tries to charge you for cleanings you do not need, I have taken care of my teeth all 26 years of my life. The dental hygienist even said "Oh you have taken good care of your teeth, you have never had a filling, all you need is a cleaning" Then proceeds to tell me my cleaning will be $53 dollars, I asked why the charge as my insurance covers 2 cleanings a year she said based on my code it will be $53. I then proceeded to call the insurance company who called the office come to find out they were trying to charge me for periodontal cleaning which is $53 instead of a normal cleaning. The hygienist states "Dr Theis decided on that based on your X-ray" (He NEVER came and looked at my teeth in person). Worst experience ever! From the dirty waiting room/office to the lackadaisical staff this place should be avoided. I was told that I needed a special deep cleaning that cost extra and was not covered under insurance, I accepted the charge, paid. and it was nothing more than a regular polishing/minimal cleaning. I was told everything was fine and they made an appointment for six months. Feeling uncomfortable about being charged for a regular cleaning that was normally covered by insurance I started asking questions , I went to another dentist who did not charge me for the same deep cleaning that Theis' office did and also found that I have a serious health issue. Absolutely the worst dentist ever. He hit a front tooth with a metal tool whilst working on a molar. The front tooth became necrotic and needed a root canal. He never apologized for the mishap nor did he offer to remedy it. I went in for a cleaning… I get 2 a year covered by insurance. The secretary who was the dentists mother charged me $75. When I asked why because I get two cleanings a year, she made up some story that the kind of cleaning I got was the kind that is not covered by my insurance. I asked why didn’t I get the one that IS covered by insurance,she said because they don’t do that kind. I told her then she should have told me up front that they could not do the kind covered by insurance. She got petulant and told me that I should have contacted the insurance company beforehand

I had a new patient appointment and gave them my dental insurance info in advance. Apparently they don’t do fillings here. I sat in the dentist chair for OVER AN HOUR without being seen by the doctor to be told they don’t do fillings, root canals, and extractions and to find another dentist.
