I went to see Dr. Mortensen as a new patient for my annual wellness exam. He asked me questions I had already answered prior to my visit in the patient portal and I assumed this was normal, he was a new doctor for me. After the visit I was billed for multiple visits (wellness and office) to address pre-existing conditions which was false. I discussed my family history per his questions and was not made aware that his additional questions would be charged separately from a wellness visit. When contacting billing they couldn't help because he had coded his notes for different visit purposes. I do not recommend visiting Dr. Mortensen unless you are comfortable with being charged for significantly more then the visit was scheduled for.
