I got a very satisfying tooth fix today. They always work efficiently and have a very professional technique. If they could accept my dental insurance, I will go continuing stay here for my future dental service.

Dr Shumaker has been our family dentist for over 25 yrs. I love his practical approach and his thorough exams. I will never go anywhere else! The entire staff is always friendly and welcoming. Amy is an amazing hygienist. Very gentle and meticulous with a calm demeanor- perfect for a relaxing teeth cleaning experience. I highly recommend Alderwood Dental to everyone!

Dr Shumaker is wonderful. I went in for a second opinion and I can tell you he is not only very kind, but more honest than any dentist I’ve ever met. I was told by another dentist I needed 5 fillings as soon as possible. Dr Shumaker looked at each tooth on the X-ray and showed me exactly what I was seeing and explained why I neeed 0 fillings. On top of that the consult was free of charge. He gained a customer and I gained an honest dentist.

My husband and I have been going to this dentist for some 40+ years. You will always get an honest appraisal of your options, never pushed into the most expensive options. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, expert at navigating insurance issues, friendly and just go out of their way to make your visit as stress free as possible. My husband has Parkinson’s disease and they’ve dealt with him with kindness and understanding.

I have been going to Dr. Shumaker since I was born, my mom and her family have been going to him since she was in high school. I have moved around the country and had to try other dentists before and none have ever made me feel so comfortable. The staff feels like family and they really care about you and want to get to know you. I couldn't ask for better. It's fascinating to watch them working, they don't even have to talk to each other, they work as a unit, quick and efficient. I just love them. I don't dread going to the dentist. :)
